What We Are Doing
As the Tri-Cities region faces the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic, many local organizations and community members are seeking innovative approaches to help mitigate the adverse economic impacts and to help those in need. Now, more than ever, it is critical to support the community we have built - from small businesses and independent artists, to those who are working daily to combat the virus.
Our immediate response to help our fellow community members is of utmost importance. By providing meals, supporting local businesses, and donating money or resources, we can ensure the Tri-Cities region will make it through this adverse time stronger than ever. Organizations have been identified who are already on the ground and able to deploy resources quickly.
Please join us by donating to one of the organizations listed. Each of us plays an important role during this time and every dollar matters.
Who And Why
Who is driving this group and how did it come together?
We’re a coalition of concerned and motivated community members and organizations who, like you, want to help our neighbors through the COVID-19 pandemic. We’ve seen that, in many cases, people don’t know where to go when they want to help or where their donations can be directed to make the most impact.
We love the Tri-Cities and its people. We may live in different cities but our strength, as one community, has always come through in trying times, driven by our compassion for each other. This is why we moved to identify local organizations, informed by leaders from the cities, state and private sector. We sought input from organizations, already on the ground, who are quickly deploying resources to help our neighbors and serve our community’s most vulnerable populations.
Our motive is simple: We want to serve as a catalyst to get everyone in the community, who can donate or act in some way, to help their neighbor. It will take each of us giving to support our neighbors who are impacted by this pandemic.
What’s your goal?
We see this situation as a long-term need, requiring on-going monitoring and action. The need in our region is great and will likely be this way well after the shelter in place order is lifted.
We need everyone in the community to donate and act. Anyone who can give, needs to give. Anyone who can act in other supportive ways, needs to act.
It will take each of us giving to support every person in our community as we recover from this crisis.
My organization that isn’t on this website. How can it be considered?
Local non-profit organizations can fill out an application to be added to the site here. After you have submitted your application, one of our representatives will reach out with more information and to ask more about how your organization is addressing the impact of COVID-19 in our community.
Is this just for the Tri-Cities?
